How to do a Weekly Review

  1. Review the week ahead on your calendar
    • Get a handle on what is coming up in the next week or two.
    • Add any tasks or projects to DailyBalance that you may have missed.
  1. Move everything that you hope to accomplish to your This Week folder
    • Review the remaining stuff from last week in your This Week folders.
      • If it still is important for the coming week, keep it. Otherwise, move it out to Upcoming.
      • A good practice is to first move everything in This Week to Upcoming. This way you can just go through your Upcoming folders when planning the week. Enable Review Reminders in Settings to help to automate this, or use the Move All Tasks feature.
    • Review your Upcoming folders and drag anything that is a priority to This Week.
      • If you did a monthly review at the start of the month, the Upcoming folder will already contain your goals for the month.
  1. Break tasks down into sub-tasks
    • DailyBalance allows you to capture sub-tasks to any level of detail.
    • When reviewing your undefined tasks, give some thought as to what is the next one or two actions you can take to move that forward.
    • Add these actions as sub-tasks to capture this thinking.
  1. Do a Daily Review and plan your day
    • Now, you have identified what you want to accomplish this week, you are ready to plan your day.
